We will take administration to account for investments in AI initiatives like the Drew School and the New College which pollute our water and destroy our communities. Students for Change will aggressively advocate for policies restricting the use of AI in student grading and campus life.
Attempts to resolve student dining issues have fallen on deaf ears. Seeing the failure of administration to act as a signal of a larger unwillingness to heed student concerns, we will rectify dining issues ranging from health & safety concerns to limited menus for those of us with dietary restrictions.
We will push for a reduction of fees for students seeking healthcare on campus, as well as work to expand free access to menstrual care products, contraceptives, and Narcan on campus.
We will create new spaces and opportunities for Drew students to get involved and connected with each other and engage in activities that they enjoy.
We will fight to ensure that students are no longer denied answers and explanations from administrators and assert our right to know the extent of our school’s financial troubles and efforts to rectify it.
We will work to restore subsidies for research in the humanities and sciences and give students more opportunities to do meaningful work in their fields.
In order to truly have a seat at the table, Drew University students must be represented at the highest levels of administration. We will advocate for the creation of a Student Trustee position, which will report to the student body directly the activities and decision-making of school leadership.
